A lot can be learned about the current and future intentions of our society through form and design of our surrounding. Together with the architects Marius Helten and Leonard Wertgen he started the group Film Based Research using film as a research tool to understand our built environment in all its diversity and contradictions. The films of this collaboration were made in Ahmedabad, at the Goethe Institute in Rotterdam as well as in Seoul and were shown in the Japanese Pavilion at the Venice Architecture Biennale in 2018 and at the Alliance Francaise in Rotterdam.
